Gutter guards and eavestrough covers that keep the leaves out

The right guard keeps most debris out of your eavestroughs so they flow through leaf season. We fit guards to your roof and gutter profile instead of forcing a one-size product, and we still recommend a check each year.

Gutter guard mesh installed along a roofline

The straight version

Why gutter guards matters in the GTA

Gutter guards are the most oversold product in home maintenance — and, fitted correctly on the right house, genuinely worth the money. The difference is fit. Under heavy oak or maple canopy, a well-matched guard turns twice-a-year packed-trough cleanings into a light annual check. Under pine and spruce, only fine micro-mesh survives: needles thread every coarser screen and felt across the top of cheap covers. And on out-of-square older gutters, a big-box panel bridges gaps that seeds and grit pour straight through. The guard has to match the trees and the profile, or it is decoration.

That is why every install starts with an assessment of your roof pitch, gutter width, and the actual trees over each run — then a full clean and flush, because guards installed over debris just seal the problem in. Panels are cut to the run and fastened to hold through wind and freeze-thaw, and the job is quoted on site after the assessment rather than from a phone script. The honest arithmetic we give every customer: guards reduce cleaning frequency, they do not end maintenance, and if guards are already on your house and need to come off for a cleaning, that adds $40.

How we run it

The operation, step by step

  1. 1

    We measure the run

We check your gutter width, roof pitch, and the trees around you to pick a guard that fits your home.

  2. 2

    We clean first

Guards go on clean gutters only. We clear and flush before anything gets installed.

  3. 3

    We fit and secure

Guards are cut and fastened to sit flush and stay put through wind and ice.

Questions

Gutter guards FAQs

No. Good guards cut how much gets in and how often you clean, but fine grit and seeds still collect. Plan on a yearly check.

Yes. Gutter guards, eavestrough covers, eavestrough screens and leaf guards all name the same idea: a cover over the trough that keeps leaves out and lets water in. What matters is the type. Fine stainless micro-mesh handles GTA maples and pine needles; coarse screens and foam inserts clog.

It depends on your trees and roof. Fine mesh handles needles and seeds, while larger screens suit big leaves. We match the guard to your home.

Fine stainless micro-mesh. Maple keys (the helicopter seeds that drop across the GTA in May and June) slip through perforated screens and wedge in the holes, and they sprout in foam inserts. Micro-mesh keeps them on top, where rain and wind clear most of them, so a guard-equipped maintenance clean is a quick sweep rather than a dig.

Under heavy trees, usually yes: fewer cleanings, less ladder work, and no packed troughs between visits. Under a few small trees, often no, because the cleanings they save cost less than the install. We tell you which side your house is on after we see the roof and the trees, and the install is quoted on site.

Yes, and fall is a smart time. We clean the gutters, install the guards, and you head into winter clear.

They pair well. Guards reduce buildup and the Crew Plan keeps a set of eyes on your roofline twice a year.
