Gutter and eavestrough cleaning, done like an operation

Clogged eavestroughs push water where it does not belong: your fascia, your foundation, your basement. We clear every run by hand, flush the downspouts, bag the mess, and send you before and after photos. No guesswork, no surprises.

Clean K-style eavestrough after a full clearing

The straight version

Why gutter cleaning matters in the GTA

An eavestrough is the first component of your home's water management, not a cosmetic trim. When it works, a roof's worth of rain — hundreds of litres in a single storm — travels quietly to the downspouts and away from the foundation. When it clogs, that same water sheets over the edge onto fascia, siding, and the strip of soil beside your basement wall. In the GTA's canopy, clogging is not a possibility but a schedule: maple keys in June, the main leaf drop from mid-October, oak streets trailing into late November. A cleaning is cheap foundation insurance dressed up as yard work.

Our version is a full operation, priced from $299 on a transparent matrix: every run cleared by hand rather than blown around the yard, every downspout flushed and flow-tested end to end, debris bagged and hauled, and before-and-after photos of your actual eavestroughs delivered to your inbox the moment we finish. Most homes need the two-clean rhythm — late spring after the seeds, late fall after the leaves — and heavily treed or ravine lots earn a mid-fall touch-up. If a quote elsewhere comes in far below this page, ask which of those steps it includes.

How we run it

The operation, step by step

  1. 1

    We case the job

The crew walks the roofline, notes the tricky runs, and sets ladders on stable ground with standoffs so we never lean on your gutters.

  2. 2

    We clear by hand

Every run gets cleared by hand, not blown around your yard. Leaves, grit, and shingle sand come out and go into bags.

  3. 3

    We flush and test

We flush each downspout to confirm water actually moves. If a spout is blocked, we clear it before we call it done.

  4. 4

    We prove it

You get before and after photos of your actual gutters. That is the receipt.

Questions

Gutter cleaning FAQs

Twice a year for most homes: once in late spring after the seeds and blossoms drop, and once in late fall after the leaves are down. Heavily treed lots may need a mid-fall touch-up.

Yes. Eavestrough, eaves trough, eaves and gutter all name the same channel along your roof edge, and most Ontarians say eavestrough. A proper cleaning covers the whole system: every run cleared by hand and every downspout flushed and flow-tested.

Yes. Leaves left in the troughs hold water that freezes, which feeds ice dams and pulls hangers loose. Book the fall clean after most leaves are down, usually early to late November in the GTA, so the gutters go into the freeze empty.

Yes. Three-storey work is priced higher because it needs taller ladders and more setup time, but it is a normal part of what we do.

No. We bag debris as we go and haul it away. We protect beds and walkways and leave the site tidy.

Safety first. If conditions are unsafe we contact you and rebook the next clear slot at no charge.

Always. A downspout flush is included in every cleaning. Water that cannot leave the gutter is the whole problem.

Not at booking: it is $0 and no card. Payment is due by e-Transfer or cash when the crew is about halfway through, and your before and after photos arrive when the job is done.

Yes. Taking guards off and putting them back takes time, so a cleaning with guards adds $40.

Yes. Property managers get bulk scheduling, consolidated invoicing, and a certificate of insurance on request. See the commercial page.
