Downspout cleaning, unclogging and flow checks

The downspout is the half of the gutter system nobody looks at, and it is where the system actually fails. A trough can be spotless and the run still overflows if the elbow below it is packed — acorns wedge, needles felt into columns, willow whips wrap and hold everything that follows. The failure is invisible from the ground and silent until a downpour, when the spout that should be gushing runs quiet and the water finds the foundation instead. Half of diagnosing a gutter problem in the GTA is really diagnosing a downspout.

That is why the flush and end-to-end flow test are included in every cleaning we do, not sold as an extra: water goes in at the top and we confirm it exits at the bottom — at every spout, every visit. Blockages get worked loose from the top or the elbow on the same visit, and the discharge gets checked as carefully as the flow, because an outlet dumping at the wall, or uphill on a graded lot, is just recycling the problem. Extensions get added or re-aimed so water actually leaves. Underground drains are the one thing quoted separately, and we say so before touching anything.
