The trees that clog your gutters
Toronto's mature Norway maples and silver maples drop enormous leaf loads, and older oaks add heavy acorns and catkins that pack downspouts tight.
The homes we service here
A lot of the core is early-1900s semis and detached homes with two and three storeys, steep roofs, and narrow side lots. Rosedale, Forest Hill and Lawrence Park add large detached homes on deep lots under the city's oldest oaks. Both mean taller ladders and careful setup, which is exactly what the crew is built for.
When to book in Toronto
Toronto's old-canopy streets run on a two-clean calendar. The Norway and silver maples over Roncesvalles, High Park and The Beaches shed keys and catkins through June — that is the late-spring clean — and the main leaf drop starts mid-October and is not finished until mid-November, with the older oaks holding on later still. On heavily treed blocks we recommend an early-October touch-up plus the full clear once the branches are bare; a single September visit is wasted money here, because the trough is full again by Halloween.
What the job involves in Toronto
The signature Toronto job is a two- or three-storey semi with a narrow side yard: ladder set carefully on shared paving, standoffs so nothing leans on a century-old eavestrough, and a rear run you cannot see from the street. Downspouts often discharge into tight side yards between two foundations, so the flush and the discharge check matter more here than almost anywhere. Typical pricing lands at $369 for a two-storey semi and $459–$499 at three storeys; the large detached homes of Rosedale, Forest Hill and Lawrence Park often price as estate homes, $549 at two storeys with a custom quote at three. Heavily treed lots add $20 for the extra bagging. On a third-storey run, the before-and-after photos are the only inspection you will ever get.
